Rachel Khanna’s opponent called out by legislative leaders
Connecticut has been a leader in protecting reproductive freedom, but will only remain a safe haven if we elect truly pro-choice candidates. Rachel Khanna, Steve Meskers, Hector Arzeno and Nick Simmons are the only ones in Greenwich endorsed by Planned Parenthood.
Now the chairs of the CT General Assembly’s Reproductive Rights Caucus are setting the record straight regarding Khanna’s opponent, Tina Courpas, in a strongly worded op-ed.
Courpas claims to be pro-choice but also opposes our landmark Reproductive Freedom Defense Act. State Reps Matt Blumenthal and Jillian Gilchrest break down her “falsehoods” and “failure to know the most basic facts before taking a position on a vitally important law,” calling Courpas’ position “deeply and cynically misleading.”
Nick Simmons’ opponent, Ryan Fazio, voted against the Act, and also perpetuates false claims about the law.
Vote Row A
Blumenthal and Gilchrest’s must-read editorial was published in Greenwich Time yesterday. Take a look. And don’t forget to vote Row A for the real pro-choice candidates.
