Wear Orange: Recognizing National Gun Violence Awareness Day
June 5 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Join us to recognize victims and survivors of gun violence. June 5th at 1 pm in the Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room (101 Field Point Road). Special guest speaker Earl Bloodworth, Executive Director of CT Against Gun Violence. Town leaders will read a proclamation. Wear your orange.
June 2 would have been the 29th birthday of Hadiya Pendleton, a Chicago teen who was shot and killed as an innocent bystander in a park. Her friends choose to wear orange in her honor because it’s the color hunters wear to protect themselves.
