Candidate for Selectwoman

Rachel Khanna is running for Greenwich Selectwoman with a clear purpose: to bring thoughtful leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a deep commitment to community to Town Hall. A proud Greenwich resident for 25 years, Rachel has served at both the state and local levels, earning a reputation as a results-driven public servant. She made history in 2022 as the first Democrat elected to represent Connecticut’s 149th district in the State House, where she secured over $100 million for school construction, road safety improvements, and nonprofit services in the district. Before that, Rachel served on the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting (RTM) from 2018 to 2021, representing District 10.
But Rachel’s story goes far beyond politics. Born in France and a proud U.S. citizen since age 22, she brings an international perspective and a lifelong dedication to civic engagement. She holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College and Columbia University, where she earned her Master’s in Political Science. Professionally, she’s worked in marketing at global firms like Euromonitor International and Morgan Stanley. A trained chef and entrepreneur, Rachel launched an organic meal delivery service in 2007 and is the author of two cookbooks. She’s also a triathlete, community advocate and volunteer, and the mother of four daughters and a former Parkway School PTA board member—all experiences that fuel her passion for public service.
Rachel Khanna brings vision, integrity, and a track record of getting things done. As Selectwoman, she’ll keep working to make Greenwich a town where families thrive, schools excel, and voices are heard.
