About Doug Fenton

Candidate for Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET)

Doug Fenton is running for the Board of Estimate and Taxation.  He believes that the $520 million business of Greenwich can be run smarter and more efficiently – delivering better services and stronger financial outcomes for all residents.

With 20 years of experience in finance, including 16 years as a partner at a Tiger cub hedge fund, Doug brings a disciplined, analytical approach and a deep understanding of fiscal responsibility.  As a member of the Representative Town Meeting’s (RTM) Budget Overview Committee, he has focused on grounding decisions in data and analysis—moving beyond instinct and out of context data points.  His work, especially on school-related issues, has earned respect from across the political spectrum.

Doug lives in Greenwich with his wife, who was born and raised in town, and their two children (a rising Eastern Middle Schooler and a Riverside Red Hawk).  In addition to volunteering actively at school, Doug currently serves on the Boards of the Greenwich Alliance for Education, the Rocky Point Club (Treasurer), and the Tiger Foundation (Co-Chair).  He graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in Mathematics and Economics.
