About Anthony Moor

Candidate for First Selectperson

Anthony Moor is a two-term member of the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Transportation Committee.  He revitalized what had been a mostly dormant committee under previous leaders to focus on what residents had identified in a 2023 town survey as the top quality-of-life concerns: traffic control and management, parking, the need for more sidewalks, bicycle access and pedestrian-friendly amenities, and concerns about safety. Moor was a member of Pedal Greenwich, a group formed to raise the need for safe biking routes to school and work for kids and commuters. During a professional career as a local TV, print and online journalist, Moor gained a broad understanding of what makes the towns where he lived tick, covering people, politics, and local government from upstate New York, to Florida, the southwest, and California. He and his wife have two adult children, proud graduates of public schools. He holds a degree in Astrophysics and American Civilization from Williams College.
