These are a few of our favorite things
Greenwich has so much to offer us all, so during this holiday season, we thought we’d reflect on a few of our favorite things. Yes there are so many more, from Tod’s Point to the Town Party. But we can’t put EVERYTHING under the tree, so here are just a few gifts we can all share.
Sam Bridge Nursery: Browse the winter farmers’ market featuring local vendors on Saturday mornings, with treats ranging from decadent Latin American goodies to foraged mushrooms. Live reindeer are paying a visit now until Christmas Eve.
Mianus Pond: Spot the soaring eagles, osprey, and cormorants above the pond, brilliantly colored in all seasons.
Coffee for Good: Enjoy a cappuccino and conversation at this nonprofit that provides paid job training to young adults with developmental disabilities.
Greenwich Historical Society: Discover the long, multilayered history of our town.
The Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich: Donate to this community resource, serving nearly 1,500 kids from ages 6 through 18 since 1910.
Greenwich Avenue: Gaze at the scintillating holiday lights illuminating the street.
The Mill in Glenville: Visit the picturesque waterfall by The Mill, particularly stunning in autumn.
St. Roch’s Feast: Enjoy barbecue, funnel cakes, and rides at this historic August event.
Edward R. Schongalla Nature Preserve: Discover this hidden gem for nature lovers.
Berkley Theater at the Greenwich Library: Attend free concerts, Friday movies, music, and lectures.
Annual menorah lighting on Greenwich Ave (in front of Restoration Hardware): Attend the celebration this year. It includes a concert and all are invited on January 1st at 4 pm.

Audubon’s Hawk Watch: Don’t miss this annual weekend event for watching migrating hawks.
Cos Cob Park: Enjoy the sunset and scenic views while walking the dog.
Round Hill Deli: Sink your teeth into the gooey egg and cheese wrap at this establishment, continuously operating since 1801.
Mianus River Park: Explore the 200 acres of trails that stretch into Stamford.
Western Middle School: See the beautiful new playing field, a prime spot for sports and recreation.
Pomerance Park: Walk the scenic trails of this peaceful park.
Our volunteer fire companies: Support the 120 volunteers who staff stations in Sound Beach, Byram, Glenville, Banksville, Round Hill and Cos Cob, augmenting 100 full time professionals.

Binney Park: Watch the popular model sailboat regatta held here.
Byram Shubert Library: Discover this small but mighty community hub, offering movies, art exhibitions, book clubs, yoga, cooking classes, lectures, live music, and plenty of kids’ programs.
Sound Beach Ave: Shop, then grab a hot cocoa at First Light, the annual holiday event in Old Greenwich.
Grigg Street Pizza: Famous for its appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.
The Reading Room: Enjoy afternoon high tea with an old friend in this serene setting.
Western Civic Center: A great spot for playing pickleball.
